Although the Forest of Dean was designated as the country’s first National Forest Park, it remains one of the best kept secrets. Situated between the Rivers Wye and Severn, this former royal hunting ground provides a magical setting for walkers, cyclists, and nature lovers in the beautiful Wye Valley AONB.
The Buckstone House, home to Doug and Nikki Smith, is set in three acres of gardens and grounds in the village of Staunton, three miles from Coleford in the Forest of Dean and Monmouth in the Wye Valley. The Welsh border runs through the edge of the village, a stone’s throw away. The spacious upstairs living room of The Coach House, overlooks the lovely garden and guests share the Smiths’ swimming pool and tennis court
